I Like Kathleen Sebelius.

Senator Jim Webb has also been mentioned as a guy who might add some national security/military credentials to the ticket, along with reinforcing the populist message. But he would offend many feminists, given some of his comments in the past. If those same feminists would be offended by Kathleen Sebelius, then I suspect they are simply unreachable. She would be criticized by some Catholics as being a pro-choice Catholic.

If Obama is going to pick a white guy (to get white male votes), then Governor Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania might fit the bill, and might help cement Pennsylvania and its key electoral votes into the Obama column. The governor of Ohio might do the same for his state (I am forgetting his name at the moment).

I still like the idea of Robert Rubin. I think that would shock a lot of people, but it might give Obama some instant economic credibility, and might cause a rethink of his fiscal policies.

As far as I know, John Edwards has ruled himself out.
