I really think that there was a dearth of depth to his intellect prior to his time in high school or college. Not that George W. Bush is or was unable to think with any depth or exhibit any intellectual curiosity. Rather, that he did not and does not now wish to do so. Further, his laziness extends to his patterns of speech.
