An interesting thread title!

Peter David, longtime "writer of stuff" (including the Incredible Hulk comic) once wrote a column exploring how "City of Angels" could be re-interpreted (with minimal effort) as a romance between Superman and Lois Lane.

CoA is not really a "Superhero movie", but I think it serves as a good mirror for what Ang Lee tried, and failed, to do with his Hulk film.
