Despite the many protestations to the contrary by Obama and McCain followers, the issue here is not a matter of gender. There may be an age factor: younger voters thumbnig their noses at those in their 50's, 60's and beyond.
Regardless, the 18 million voters who supported Clinton were not all women in their 60's hoping that a feminist would at last become President. Men voted for Clinton (I did not. I voted for Obama back in March) and many younger women voted for HRC too.
Obama and his ardent followers, like yourself, would be wise to consider that 18 million votes or even a portion of that number could very well swing the election come November. I don't mean that as a threat, but as a head's up that the Democratic Party is riven, and only your guy can fix that. If he doesn't wnat to or hasn't the leadership skills to do so, then he can try to win without the people like myself who very much want a win in November but who are so pissed off at the DNC (not at Obama himself) that they will not support their candidate.
Obama should demand that Dean & Brazile step down from the DNC. That would bring most of CLinton's supporters back in short order.
