1. The 50 state strategy had little or nothing to do with winning the White House. It was designed to win more Congressional seats.
2. The DNC pushed Obama's candidacy as a way of attracting more voters to the Democratic Party, not to win the White House, but to win Congressional seats.
3. Florida and Michigan wanted early primary dates. Why were they denied? How would that have affected the 50 state strategy? It only would have helped Clinton, so Dean, et al., denied the early dates. Clinton should have screamed looudly aboout this, but I have to assume that at that point she was unaware that the DNC was actively interested in railroading her candidacy.
4. Now the Democrats have a young and very inexperienced candidate, who could never have gotten as far as he has without the behind-the-scenes actions of the DNC. The person who should have faced McCain is out of the race now, and you think her supporters either don't matter or will come around before November. Don't count on that.
