Great post - but its just like Jet Lag

Hi Deepa, I really enjoyed your article as my job requires me to be in on time. And my start time, until recently, is either 8am weekdays or 6am on Sunday morning.

I love being both a night owl and an early bird (to quote the Office "It means I'm wise, and I have worms")

I can do either and get a kick out of both times of day, I find early mornings to wind up cheaper however :)

When I do need to shift, it takes my body about 2 weeks before I'm even close to coherent, and a small 2 hour shift will take me about a week before I'm completely "normal" again.

I do love the early morning for productivity, but the late night's the social time of day. Maybe your next experiment should be "Can someone train themselves to sleep less than 8 hours a night without being a grumpy bugger?"
