I found the writer's description of wealthy people who buy organs abroad somewhat disingenuous

"Out of desperation, some patients travel abroad for transplants. They do so with the sickening knowledge that their new kidneys or livers will come from a poor native exploited by brokers in the underground organ bazaars that flourish across the globe."

Sickening knowledge !?

How about selfish collaboration with body brokers to put their lives ahead of the impoverished ? How about a willingness to see another human being as as no more than an temporary storage unit for spare body parts.?

It just goes to show there are some things more horrifying than dying earlier than you wanted.
