Turn in your Society for the Power of Rationalization membership card. You've gone too far. Everything about The Hulk was terrible, boring, or irritating and sometimes all three at the same moment. Experimentation and novelty alone do not a worthy movie make. For superhero genre bending and atypical work in this predictably paint-by-numbers realm, see del Toro's unfaltering brilliance displayed in Hellboy. But The Hulk? I would rather watch the schizophrenic train wreck that is Spider-Man 3 a half dozen times than watch The Hulk a second time.
