I agree that nationalism is better than imperialism. However, I think that, in situations like Israel/Palestine, nationalism is simply untenable.

Answer me this - how would a two-state solution be qualitatively different from what we have now? You would still have one country with all the wealth, and another country that would be piss-poor and angry.

Besides, the economies of "Israel" and "Palestine" are so inextricably linked that any attempt to divide the two is an exercise in creative fiction.

I realize that the world is not yet ready for a single-state solution. But I feel that it is the only solution that addresses the inequalities between the two peoples, and is thus the only solution that will lead to a lasting peace.
