Monsters from the id

With the virtual world of the internet becoming more real, and the acceptance of constant surveillance and constant communication as the new norms, our old fashioned Puritan standards are mutating. The internet is, to use old fashioned psychological jargon, our collective id. And the new superego is just a recording device. The actions in the video in the R. Kelly trial are grotesque on any level, yet they are acceptable in the new context of relationships. If the girl didn't want to get peed on, she would have move out of the way. That says it all. In the near future there will be no right or wrong as long as there is mutual consent. In Germany recently someone very very messed up found an online cannibal who was willing to kill and eat him. One day soon, we will all stand before each other naked and unashamed, no matter how fat, skinny, deformed or pathetic we are. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? By the time it happens, such questions will no longer matter. But personally, I am trying to lose weight.
