If you really think that Hillary shouldn't run again AND if you want a woman at the top of the ticket for the White House later, then being the #2 on a "movement ticket" undermines Sebelius' very real strengths as a female candidate. She wouldn't be riding on the coat tails of ANY man if she runs in 2012 or 2016 instead of or against Hillary without having been veep. (Althought I dread what the newscasters will say about a woman vs. woman primary for pres).

If you truly didn't want Hillary just because she was Hillary and it wasn't because she was a woman, then Sebelius is just another way for Obama supporters to feel smug about hating Hillary. But it won't play to the actual angry folk. This is what it looks like:"See we like a woman just fine as long as she's not #1." It won't fix anything, you can still be accused of sexism. And pandering.

If you did like Hillary because she was Hillary and not because she was a woman then it's insulting "See he thinks he can just stick anyone in there with a uterus and we'll shut up" Some women will believe that he'll just keep on doing what he's doing and never address their issues again ( Note 43% of women are NOT pro-choice so they might care more about universal mandated health care than Roe and the Supremes).

I think being the "second choice" would be bad for Sebelius if she has national intentions. And I don't think it will do her good to say "Just like Hillary except NO Bill" which is basically the argument you're trying to make to Hillary supporters. She also didn't support Hillary so there's no healing there. If you do want a generic uterus you might do better to go to Feinstien. When Sebelius does run on her own people will just say "Oh she got there because of Obama and cause she's the susbtitute girl."

She's strong enough to run on her own later. She doesn't need him. He could damage her. Also she does not shore up the military and foreign policy weaknesses that Obama needs to counter McCain's main talking points against him.

I like Obama/Biden it bypasses all the Hillary nonsense, shores him up and lets him have two strong democratic women available for high profile positions in Senate and State leadership. Sebelius/Bloomberg in 2016!!!!
