Detain freedom
by Telemachus

The answer to "will the Bush administration listen?' is No! Actually the answer would most likely be Cheney's suggestion, "Go f*** yourself!" Bush didn't listen when he was told that Al Queda would likely attack within the United States using hijacked airplanes. He didn't listen when everyone else in the world told him attacking Iraq was a bad idea. He didn't listen when he was told the people in New Orleans need help. He probably hasn't listened to anyone since he told his father he was going to beat his ass. And this is the reason he is the man he is today, and why we are the country we are today.

I hate the word, detainee. It means any level of our government can hold us indefinitely for any reason they make up. It negates all rights and all freedoms. There is no greater threat to what we were once taught was the American way of life than that word and the way it has become so commonplace and taken for granted in our society. Any prick with a badge and a gun can hold you indefinitely as long as you are not charged with anything, It used to be that you had to be charged with something to be held. Now you can be "detained." And for how long? Well, that was the biggest part of what the Supreme Court was really wrestling with. How long can the government hold someone without bringing charges against them in a court of, oh what was that word they used to use, oh yes, law. I am disturbed by Mr. Roberts, Mr. Alito, Mr. Thomas and Mr. Scalia's attitude toward their job. They are clowns. Clowns are scary.Clowns with power are monsters.
