Wow, I totally concur with this view. My gut has always been right. The challenge, of course, for an intelligent, educated, and insightful female, is to listen to it. I rarely do. I am among the many who feel that I should be listening to my head. But my gut is what keeps me out of trouble. My gut told me to back off when I got engaged (twice). Need I say more? My gut sounds the first alarm, no doubt about it. Unfortunately, I've been taught to engage my higher brain - often to my detriment, at least where relationships are concerned. I'm learning to "follow my gut " a little more now. I'm certainly a happier person. Higher brain functions are great for, say, paying bills.
