I am more snobbish about good taste not brand or price tag. I derive the same pleasure from foie gras as I do chopped chicken liver as I do my grandmother's beef liver cutlets. I have enjoyed Beluga as well as lumpfish caviar it's all good if done well and pleases the palate. I always think of snobbery as placing what is deemed best at the top rung of the ladder but I don't know of any ladder that would be of any value if it only had a top rung!
