but when he started running for president he started banging hillary over the head for HER judgement over the vote.....i mean how dishonest could he be? pretty dishonest

She was running on "experience" but her experience on-- for many of us-- the most important issue of the day was that of making the wrong decision. Nothing "dishonest" about that. There were a large number of Democratic senators who made the right decision at the time.

Moreover, his quote was, "I'm not privy to Senate intelligence reports. . . What would I have done? I don't know." His criticism of Clinton was that she was privy to Senate intelligence reports and still made the wrong decision.

Finally, on Tuesday night when I first heard media reports saying that Clinton and her supporters needed space and time to be allowed to accept the outcome on their own schedule, I thought, "Damn, they [the media] are gonna be in trouble over that. That's pretty condescending; it implies that Clinton and her supporters are emotionally-fragile children." But what happens? I come to Slate and see that Clinton's supporters aren't condemning the media comments; they're loudly proclaiming that they're emotionally-fragile children who need time and space to accept these results.
