Maybe feminism in my generation will have really made progress when people can stop asking every pop culture phenomenon for women to represent all aspects of our lives equally.

Seriously, it's like every time there's something that's remotely popular to women, people wonder whether we're way too career driven/materialistic/slutty, based on the source material.

Murphy Brown does not equal Ally McBeal does not equal Sex and the City does not equal Madonna, mmkay?
