This is just ignorant. Sexual fetishes are not correlated with other "deeper psychological issues."

I disagree. Particularly in the case of fetishes that involve activities that inspire revulsion in most other people or that preclude getting off in more typical ways. Think about it; you know that this stuff freaks people out but it's so important to you that you can't, or won't stop doing it. That is a deep psychological issue, in my book, and is bound to manifest itself in other, less harmless ways. Compulsions and obsessions are certifiable and quantifiable as "psychological disorders" and are pretty much exactly what we mean when we say someone has "issues."

You can call me closed minded (actually, you pretty much have already) and that's okay. I don't think they're bad people, evil, or horrible. I just think they have issues that I personally wouldn't want to deal with in a relationship. Relationships are difficult enough without that extra layer of crazy.
