Greatbear,
Being perfectly suited for your job does not mean you never make a mistake while in your job. Sometimes, circumstances arise that make things difficult and sometimes you have to make a choice that some people just won't understand. You can't please all the people all the time, can you?
I'm starting to think you've never actually seen an Obama rally. You're very defensive of this idea of the Obamaniac to the point where you want to wish them out of existence. But you can't do that, can you? Just because you are not one, it does not eradicate the aspect of Obama's campaign that has engendered worship over support.
You seem to label my support as worship...but that makes no sense. There's nothing worshipful about support. Again, you're being defensive by trying to project an image on everyone who supports a candidate as "worship"--that's not logical, is it? I have absolutely *no idea* what it is that you even think you could possibly be referring to when you say such ridiculous things.
I also don't know if you know what a cult is and how that is different than having logical, politically-based reasons for why I don't support Obama.
Clinton does have more experience than Obama. Not all of it is conventional experience, but she knows what it's like to be in the Whitehouse, to meet with foreign officials, to use diplomatic pressure, etc. She also has more experience in the Senate, dealing with federal issues. I'm sorry that you can't accept this and wish to simplify and denigrate Clinton's experience, but that doesn't change anything. Again, you can't wish things to be different than they are.
I have no idea why you think Obama is the better choice here and this is something that you've never made clear. He hasn't shown much to support that notion, except his ability to whip people into a frenzy and to garner the support of Oprah. He just hasn't done much to show that he would make a better commander in chief than Clinton, who *has* FP experience (yes, she DOES) both as First Lady and as a Senator. And even if she did not, even if their backgrounds had been identical, her statements, her legislative goals, her approach to FP speak volumes for her--she is just more knowledgable, more temperate, more pragmatic, etc....she would make a BETTER President.
And no, I won't be crying on election day. I will be watching, with interest, the outcome. Neither candidate will do much for us domestically, but I think McCain's FP approach makes more sense. So, we'll see. One reason I would vote for Obama is because he's very interesting in green technology, and I might want to invest in that.
