Re: good point

ANWR is not the only location of crude.

The Northern Slope alone has 10 billion plus barrels.

Off the western coast of Florida is one of the largest finds in the WORLD. Cuba and Venezuela are going to get that oil as we sit around sucking our thumbs.

In the continental US there are numerous locations that are not being drilled, the above are but a few of the known popular ones.

Ignoring these sights and hoping alternative fuel sources will be available in time to head off a catastrophe is ridiculous, sophomoric strategic planning at best.

We need a comprehensive energy policy that allows the exploitation of these reserves while simultaneously evolving alternative fuels and the infrastructure that will be necessary to distribute such fuels.

Also included is a far reaching nuclear energy program to get us of fossil fuels.

Until any of this is addressed, we are just whistling past the grave yard.

Why are the DEM'S against any further development of oil in our country?

When are the DEM'S apposed to Nuclear power?
