As an artist who tries to sell my work on eBay, I find that eBay continues to squeeze the folks who actually made them what they are today. Their strategy seems to want to eliminate the little guy and become more like a large retail store front.
They definitely do not seem to have a high regard for their sellers. I really doubt the numbers that they are reporting for folks actually making a living on eBay. It would be interesting to see the current "real" statistics.
As a seller who had not done much with eBay the past two years, I was quite shocked to find how the fees had changed. They continue to change and mainly have a large impact on the seller.
Even though I do sell on eBay, my costs versus my profit are marginal. The only one making money is eBay. I am looking for alternatives.
