an interesting article. Last year, when a guard was checking my bag before I went into the post office, he asked me for a piece of gum he saw in the bag. Of course I said "sure." an interesting aside.( I live in the "safe"center of Israel.)

a couple of years ago, when I was going into the US embassy, or consulate,in Tel Aviv, they asked me if I had any liquids on me. I had a bottle of water. They asked me to take a sip!
