Apples and Oranges...
by techrat

On the surface, anyone who looks at the price of gas in other countries would seem like a bargain. Realisticly they are comparing apples and oranges in an attempt to justify greed.

I cant buy gas from another country. Its geographically impossible. So it makes no sense to compare the price of gas in London England to my local service station. The Eruo and Pound are strong against the dollar, so I dont see where this makes our gas a bargain compared to thiers. Gas used to be under $2 a gallon, and over the course of two years it has increased to over $4 a gallon. Where is that cheap?

The oil companies are reporting record profits. Anytime anyone is making record profits from any product and people are suffering on a daily basis to obtain it, the word - cheap, cannot in good conscience be attached to that product.
