Doesn't matter who wins AI
by Texwiz

Other than the first season, whose champ took off (rightfully so) and sustained at least two hit albums in a row with some good songs and an even better voice, (Kelly Clarkson, can I get a what what?) and the first and last country winner (the adorable Carrie Underwood), the record shows that most of the greatest successes have come from those who came in second (Clay Aiken) or further back (Daughtry).

I don't think most of us have Ruben on heavy ipod rotation.

But ther real point, to me, is that Archuleta (who in all probability, will win) will, without a doubt produce the most boring AI sponsored album ever. McPhee tried her best, but I don't think she'll ever reach the soporific nadir that a David A. album will represent.

For the record, David C. will likely put out a tepid retread of a 90's buzz rock foray into well worn, but radio friendly territory. But, he'll also almost surely outsell little David, the boy with the voice of an angel and the stage presence of lawn furniture.
