"Wingnuts", I thought refered to right wingers? It's also an insult. Is it meant to refer to the young man joining the family? But Prudie's message is one of acceptance, so why insult him? Does it refer to the family being married into? But they are liberals, not "wingnuts".
Can someone explain this to me?
