degsme--How about for the Patriot Act? How about the abrogation of any other messy little "right" which might get in the way of the general welfare? Of course technology may change the venue, but doesn't necessarily change the right--ie. Freedom of speech may begin to include the use of the telephone, the use of radio, etc. etc. without broadening the basic right of Freedom of speech.
