Mitt Romney (justly) endured a huge amount of ridicule for his claim to have been a hunter "his whole life." John Kerry was ridiculed in 2004 for duck hunting before the election, even though he'd done it before from time to time.

Seriously, people see what they're inclined to see. And maybe Hillary and Mitt can take a varmint hunting trip together some time and talk about how hard life is as a woman or a Mormon.
