Bullspotter, did you notice in the L.A. times today, on the 13th page, there is a report how NBC news had edited the exchange between Engel and Bush, removing Bush's statement that "And when, you know, the leader of Iran says that they want to destroy Isreal, you've got to take those words seriously." He clearly was not referring to Obama, but Amadinijad in his statement. Seems like a lot of this "appeasement" anger is misplaced. It usually happens when things are quoted out of context or incompletely. I agree with your "lay of the land" assessment if, that is the goal going in to the discussions.
