Well, I'm hopeing the ballot initiative passes, so we can get past all this endless BS about homosexual marriage, important to only the tiniest of minorities.

I'm sorry but even the "tiniest of minorities" should not be denied civil rights and studies show that approximately 10% of the population is gay. I'm guessing the number may be much higher among conservative republican legislators and fundamentalist ministers.

Here's what a Christian minister had to say in pre WWII Germany. His words are just as powerful today as they were then:

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.
