I do find it hard to believe that Clinton supporters would go completely against the party and vote for McCain out of spite, despite what the polls suggest. They may say that now in the heat of the moment, but come November, I think the worst they will do is simply stay home.

Like the original post in the thread says, the real challenge for Obama will be the swing voters. I count myself as one. Though I think I'm leaning toward Obama, McCain is a welcome alternative. For the first time in a while, I am not afraid of the outcome of the general election. 2004 was a nightmare! I actually voted for McCain in Michigan's primary since I wasn't allowed to vote for Obama. From the beginning, this was my dream matchup, and I look forward to the two candidates wooing me all summer long.
