It's not what I read in the bible or any other publication given at mass. It is what I have seen in real life that makes me believe it is wrong. Look, I live with my girlfriend. We are not married. This is living in sin and wrong by my religious standards, but I do it anyway. We are the same as 2 gays in this aspect. The only difference is a damn piece of paper isn't it?

Why is a piece of paper so important to you people?

That piece of paper is important because you have the choice, homosexuals do not. It is important because you will most likely not be kicked out of a hospital emergency room and be prevented from holding your girlfriends hand when she is ill, homosexuals most likely would be.
