Re: Deathwatch - Edwards

well, keep loving it -- the nomination process in place calls for superdelegates to use their independent judgment when no candidate has the requisite number of delegates. It is an end run to swipe the nomination with superdelegates endorsing Obama before the remaining states have voted their presidential preferences and FL and MI resolved - on the pretext of the "delegate math."

You are a fool. Delegate counts show who the majjority of the voters want to be the nominee. The vast majority of Americans have voted and there is simply no way for Hillary to win the election now without getting a majority of the superdelegates to ignore the will of the people.

Edwards is not subverting the will of the people. His endorsement is just that, and endorsement. He can encourage his delegates to vote for Obama but this is merely a suggestion on his part. They are pledged to him so at this point they are much like supers. They could follow his advice or they could vote for Hillary. An endorsement is a statement of preference. Edwards is well known and received quite a few votes but his vote is not worth any more than anyone else's.

People can listen to Edwards or not. It's their choice but in the end it doesn't matter all that much. Obama is the nominee.
