Bill: I know Obama ain't gonna carry MS, and that wasn't what I was trying to say. I was pointing out that an argument Clinton has been making to the superdelegates in that Obama's unpopularity with "Reagan Democrats" would drag down the rest of the ticket, and THIS result seems to indicate that simply isn't true.

The guy won a district that the Republicans had won with around 70% of the vote in the last few elections, and won it by eight points. Yes, he ran as a social conservative, but the Republicans weren't running Michael Moore, either, brought Cheney in to vouch for the guy, and tried as hard as they could to make the equation read Childers = Obama. So I repeat my two points: 1) Bush is radioactive, and 2) Obama isn't.

I do think, BTW, that if Obama names Webb as his VP candidate, he wins VA and has a shot at NC.
