Edwards endorsement and southern racists
by progressivebulldog

Fully 20% of West Virgina voters said that race was a factor in their voting last Tuesday. In exit polls. In person. Many more West Virginians probably feel that race is an issue but were too embarassed to admit it face to face.

Hopefully Kentuckcians aren't as narrow minded as West Virginians but if they are I don't think Edwards endorsement will suddenly change their minds. If they are slightly more enlightened though it might.

Regardless of an endorsement from the candidate that finished third should as will the 19 delegates. If they all go Obama's way that will more than eleiminate Hillary's slight gain from West Virginia and, what's more, stops her imagined "momentum" dead in it's tracks.

If Hillary is rational she'll drop out next Week. She'll win Kentucky and Obama will win Oregon and even without Edwards delegates he should gain enough delegates to make Hillary's tying his delegate count change from incredibly imporbable to impossible.

Of course that's only if she's rational.
