That's a new one on me. Sounds good, I figure any food that makes you say whoopie has to be good.

whoopie pies were invented by my hometown in maine (although according to wikipedia, that's apparently disputed by lancaster, PA. psh.)

they're basically giant soft oreos. two big chocolate cakey rounds with a thick layer of vanilla frosting in between. an appropriate whoopie pie should be about 4 inches in diameter and 3 inches thick. so besides being awesome, it's great for a last meal because it's a calorie bomb of epic proportions.

you can't find them down south, where I live now, but I found a reliable recipe on the internet. my friends seem very appreciative.
