I'm not kidding -- not really. Obama needs someone equally young and dynamic, not some old boring political hack. Look at all the past elections the Democrats have blown by following conventional wisdom. Gore was as experienced as you could get, but was a bore. Kerry had plenty of experience but was a disastrous choice - he looked like a cross between a mortician and Gumby and was consistently miserable and uninspiring. Edwards had plenty of charm but was stuck with the mortician-Gumby as the lead, -- no wonder he seems fed up. I don't know who the hell a good VP would be, but for sure it wouldn't be some of these usual suspects you folks are suggesting, like Dodd, Biden, Nunn, Bayh... It would be nice if the individual had some political experience but Obama's message is new politics, not old. Thankfully, Obama's team will be doing the picking and it won't be the kind of algorithmic balancing act that's been used in the past, at least I hope not.
