I'm 54. Just became 54 on March 30th. And, yes, I had a very nice birthday this year, thanks. Not as great as last year, but what the heck... I digress.

Middle age, I have always thought, is 35 to 50. You know, in the middle. After kids and usually before grandkids.

I know there's a hill and I'm over it. At 54, even though I have no grandkids, I'm an old white middle class woman... and that's just fine with me.
