Agree that the daughter could just have needed a break, but she should have told her mom that's what she was doing, instead of pretending she was "visiting" then using mom for babysitting. I was more impressed by this than the daughter's drunkenness. My brother-in-law is just like this -- tells his mom he is coming for the week or weekend, then spends about an hour with her and dumps his PETS off on her the rest of the time while he visits his wife's parents, who won't allow his two large dogs. My mother-in-law is always so disappointed. It's like some people never grow up and realize that it is no longer their parents' responsibility just to do for them without respect or reciprocation. The daughter here should have at least spent some time with her mother instead of using her as a hotel and daycare.
