I truly believe when the war hawks talk about winning in Iraq, they really mean winning. The prize is land to build permanent basis from which to launch more wars.

The other prize is giving the Big Oil companies rights over the Iraqi oil. They don't want the oil to be Nationalized, which is what the Oil Sharing Agreement is all about. It's about sharing drilling rights and rights to future oil discoveries to the Oil Companies.

That being said, it is common wisdom that Iraq will be chaos if we leave. Do we really know that? In recent polls, 80% of the Iraqi people want us to leave. For a second, just imagine that having a standing army occupying your country might actually be causing the destabilization.
