Clinton's Titanic
by rudolph williams

The ship is sinking and taking on more water and may capsize. The ship I'm talking about belongs to none other than the late Hillary Clinton. (Nomination wise) The ship came out of the harbor shinny and new, with a crew that was ready, willing and able to navigate, the seas of primaries and caucuses. But shortly after the ship began its voyage it was broadsided by a torpedo that came from Iowa. Quickly the crew got together and fixed the gaping hole and once again the voyages begin anew. There would be more salvos that would hit the ship and take it off course. (Mr. Bill Clinton, mudsling, out of control surrogates, Hillary herself and other calamities that would shake the ships core). But despite the bruising the ship continued on although the course appeared to be locked in a centrifuge at times. From the beginning no one suspected that this voyage to Denver would be so daunting. But the pounding has taken it toll and the knots have slowed to almost a crawl, most of the mates have abandoned ship except Bill and Chelsea. While crew members lumber through their duties and officers grumble below hidden from public view. As the ship sputters toward the last few primaries you wonder what it will take for Mrs. Clinton to finally concede that her chances have been dashed and that only a memory of what could have been is all she has left. Surely, she doesn’t see dignity as being the suit she wants to disembark with.
