You're right. Incredibly lucky break! :-)

I don't claim to be a victim either. I was incredibly stupid to put up with everything I did, especially for as long as I did. (What was I thinking?!) But I won't allow my kids to be naive enough to put up with that type of environment. I don't go off the deep end, but I make sure they see situations for what they really are, not what they're being manipulated into believing.
