Incorrect Assertions in the Intro
by gdestroyer8

“Whether or not they were the butt of all of Stewart's jokes seemed irrelevant to them. The point was that the high priest of political comedy spent a lot of time thinking about them.”

Being a Christian, I was hurt by that generalization. I watch what I watch because I find it entertaining not because I have a strong desire to hear someone talk about what he thinks of a group that I identify with. Most of the time, when people do criticize certain Christians I agree with them, but I do not believe that those that they critique are really representative of me or many of my Christian friends. I also grew up listening to Christian “pop” culture i.e. Focus on the Family sponsored media. Their normal knee-jerk reaction to anything that paints them in a disagreeable light or anything they disagree with is to boycott and picket, not sit down and watch. Keeping my experience as a Christian in mind, I don’t understand where you’re drawing these assertions from. After that part, I agree with the overall inability of Christian pop culture to really compete with Secular pop culture.
