Clinton 2012
by Randyshand

It seems insane to me as to why Senator Clinton would jeapordize the Democratic Party's chances of defeating John McCain in November by continuing to drag the nomination process out to the bitter end.

She knows she has no chance of becoming the nominee unless she destroys Obama so severely with lies, exaggerations and innuendo that the superdelegates deem him un-electable and switch their support to her at the convention. Add the chaos of the inevitable lawsuits filed demanding the seating of the Florida and Michigan delegations and we see even more delays and a deepening rift from within. So, by August, the Democratic Party will have been so irreparably torn apart that a win in November will be HIGHLY unlikely. But she will have had 8 weeks as the first woman nominee for president, a footnote in the history books.

Or, she could beat Obama up just enough to keep the race close, take it to the convention where the remaining superdelegates will tip the scales for her rival. After an ugly tirade about dis-loyalty and unfair victimization, she will ungracefully bow out, taking her supporters with her. Result: A divided Democratic Party ensures McCain wins the general or, at best, an Obama lame duck presidency sabotaged from the inside by diehard Clinton supporters. Then, after 4 years of McCain (and all that entails) or the failed presidency of Obama, she can emerge as the savior of the nation in 2012.

Is Senator Clinton crazy? Yes, crazy like a fox.
