It's a guilty pleasure (har har!), but it does a decent job of showcasing that the Devil isn't in it to let anyone "have fun." If you'll sell your soul for a penny, he'll buy it, no questions asked.

Perhaps it's cynical to consider it this way, but if you're in the market, as it were, for an afterlife, how much is your soul worth? What spiritual course of action gives the greatest return on investment? What religion offers the most benefit for the lowest cost? What offers the least benefit and highest cost? Is it the same for everyone?
