Right you are. Sorry. I forget about the strange capitalization practices of Christians. What relevance do the hypothetical thoughts of a mythological creature have?
"What I'm saying is that we don't have to be afraid of his erroneous
beliefs, and we certainly don't have to villify him for saying them." - artandsoul
You don't think hateful or even simply erroneous beliefs are dangerous? I disagree. Vehemently. People act because they believe in their actions. Believe is the starting point for all atrocity.
I'm also not vilifying him. I'm describing him as what he is: a racist. I'm not taking his comments out of context, exaggerating them, or distorting them in any way. There is no vilification.
"It's neither Christian nor democratic." - artandsoul
The Christian-ness of something is absolutely no indication of whether something is good or bad. History and the Bible are filled with Christian wrongs. That aside, Christianity is also filled with vilification. It's hard to imagine how vilification can be seen as not Christian. He seems to be an expert vilifier.
As for democracy. Criticism applied by an informed electorate is an essential ingredient for democracy. I don't see where I've done anything contrary to that spirit.
