Democratic mistake is overlooking Hillary

I am disturbed that so many of my fellow Democrats are so quick to overlook Hillary Clinton, in favor of the mindless handover to Barrack Obama. Are we really so sure he has what it takes to win, and does he really support our ideas?
It seems to me that the nomination was handed to Obama based on three factors:
1) The media announced that Hillary had 'high negatives' among voters, which is the political equivalent of AIDS.
2) Obama got an early push from such intellectual giants as Oprah and Ted Kennedy. Oprah is known for her wisdom in selecting such quality men as James Frey and Dr Phil McGraw. No comment on the 'leadership' Uncle Ted has provided to the Democrats.
3) Her candidacy failed to correctly read the electorates fears of a woman leader, and core Democrats concerns about the economy. This failure led to mistakes in not presenting Hillary as the best alternative to the Republicans.
However I believe the media and many of my fellow Democrats have failed to notice Hillary's major selling points, and possible reasons why she is the only Democrat who can beat John McCain.
Here are the reasons I see Hillary as my choice:
1) She best represents and understands core Democratic issues. Both from her experience with Bill in the White House, and in her Senate career, she has dealt with Democratic issues. Even before the Democratic party took over leadership of Congress, Hillary was providing the Democratic response to the Republican Party. Go back and look at Hillary's statements when the Republicans held Congress. As the opposition voice she gave strength to the movement to retake Congress. Don't be fooled by out-of-context focus on a few votes. Look at Hillary's words in 2000-2008 and see that she has a consistent message.
2) Hillary has shown that she can overcome obstacles. If she needs to overcome some negative opinions I believe she can do this. If she needs to remind us that women are capable of leadership in time of war, she can do this. Don't be frightened by Republicans harsh views toward Hillary in the past. In this election the 'Femi-Nazi' smear tactic will only encourage Democrats to better present our case.
3) Hillary has not been successful in talking about her work supporting Breast Cancer Awareness, her family's lifelong belief in making large charity donations, and other personal factors which would bring forward a more personal side to Mrs. Clinton. Instead she has been in reactionary mode to the media attacks. This does not mean her message will not get out. Don't confuse her campaign team with Hillary herself.
4) Being the in the White House with Bill Clinton IS a valid experience point. She was not a pretty first lady who spent her time thinking about how to decorate and throw parties. You know she had time to think and evaluate important policy decisions.
5) Like John McCain, she is on the Senate Armed Services committee. While we have so many soldiers overseas, it will be difficult for anyone to win the presidency who does not understand the men and women of the armed forces.
6) Jobs, the economy, and government economic policy. Obama has mirrored every position originally taken by Hillary. Imitation is such flattery. But when Hillary is out of the race, where will Obama get his policy positions?
Some in Democratic leadership may have to deal themselves with an anti-Hillary sentiment. We cannot let Obama sneak in with an 'Aw Shucks' without the ability to consistently represent core Democratic ideals. The recent media criticism of Obama, and his Reverend's silly response, has only shown the tip of the iceberg in the lack of ideas that we will face from candidate Obama. Please do not let our party go down that road.
