Both are electable. Both are relatively centrist Democrats who flirted with more progressive Democratic policies in their younger days. There is little difference between them in terms of what they would do as President, and either would be a great improvement over the current Republican sucking bog we have sunk into.

They differ in identity (she's a woman, he's African American) and style (he leans toward uplifting mantras, she comes across as more hard-boiled). It is not clear which identity and style will capture more of the electorate. But either one could easily win enough votes to put sanity back into the White House. We're bogged down in a war that seems endless, pointless, and death-giving, people are losing jobs and houses, access to health care is disappearing, and the earth is smothering in hot toxic waste. The Republican candidate offers no solutions to any of these issues. What's not to win?

Let the Democratic party (i.e. the superdelegates, given the rules in place) get its act together and choose a candidate, so we can move forward toward the general election in the fall, where there will be deep substantial differences in plans, policies and programs.
