A good point I hadn't considered before. The Aerosmith/Run DMC collaboration was the one that introduced me to DMC, it being really forward thinking considering the musically regressive area that I lived in. The one that REALLY opened my ears, and that the author didn't mention, was Anthrax/Public Enemy doing 'Bring the Noise'. Run DMC was good, but Chuck D. and the Bomb Squad just blew them away! Good stuff! And these days I have actually had my daughter shaking her tiny fist to 'Fight The Power'. She makes me so proud...
