Should Pinsky be fired as Slate's poetry editor?

The overwhelming consensus on the Fray is that Pinsky was way off the mark in his condescending, cleverer-than-thou article purporting to defend contemporary poetry. Most everyone seems to agree that he failed to make a convincing case (or to make any case at all) regarding contemporary poetry and its value, or lack thereof.
Moreover, by the slapdash intellectual sloppiness of his "essay", Pinsky drew attention to the fact that he has been a dreadful poetry editor. The consensus seems to be that the verse he has selected has exemplified the Emperor's New Poetry that Pinsky seems to take such pleasure in, yet which few Slate readers have even bothered to defend, let alone like.
Therefore, since he's clearly not doing his job, I propose that Pinsky be fired as Slate's poetry editor.
All in favor? Opposed? Please make your opinion known. Thank you.
