Presidential Pardons, Why!!
by Gerry Harold

If Presidents could commute sentences instead of actually overturning the verdicts of a judge or jury then the practice might be a useful one.

As it now can be screwed with by a President who does not want anyone digging deeper into shit that has been litigated, it should be changed to a Presidential Commutation, with the guilt phase removed from political consideration.

I think that pardons should be reserved for children and juveniles who need not have transgressions hanging around their necks for their whole life.

Libby deserves to be guilty of obstructing justice and to have it around his neck for life is his own fault.
