Take an animal husbandry class. We invented more than just dogs, we "invented" every single domesticated species on the planet. You think thoroughbred horses are just found wild? Or Hereford cattle? Or how about the Japanese Wagyu cattle which produce $300 per pound Kobe beef? Yeah Kobe beef doesn't come from that same scrawny cow that gave you your comfortable birkenstocks...At the end of the day, there's no objective way to argue that dogs shouldn't be eaten. Cultures tend to rely on the most economic, prevalent, and available sources of proteins. My Filipina girlfriend loves eating dog...and rat! But I told her she better keep her hands off my Lab.
